Saucy or not?

Just kiddin! :)

They're merely STICK-ONs, for Playeur's Ink Party @ the adorable White Rabbit.

Competition heats up at Novena Square

Kaohsiung, Taiwan's "Son of Pool" Ching-Shun Yang played against Filipino Antonio Gabica to win 9-3. The former is the only player that day I knew of, because he's quite a famous face in Taiwan!

DSCN8516

I enjoy playing pool myself. Although not so fanatical anymore, in secondary school my friends and I would go down to the pool halls in town nearly everyday.  Sometimes I tune in to it on the telly, so watching the action live was pretty cool. Their amazing ability to clear the table in one turn is always awe-inspiring.

Would have been fun if the pros demonstrated some wicked trick shots after for the audience ;)

Thanks Charles!

Happy weekend to all~

Special Feature

For a long time, I was quite conscious of my smile. You may have noticed that I didn't show my teeth very often in many of my photos :D First reason,is because when you grin widely your face kind of puffs out... and it just so happens that whenever I put on weight it goes to my cheeks pronto! The second reason, is because my teeth were colored a little to the.... yellow side. Yuck!

Friends told me my teeth were fine.... but I think that is only 'cos they themselves had yellow teeth so they couldn't differentiate!

Sometimes I felt as though I looked like a smoker when I smiled, even though I don't smoke at all.

I don't drink much coffee or tea either, although I recall in Secondary 2 I had a most disagreeable cola/pepsi habit.

No matter how much I brushed my teeth it didn't help! Darkened teeth casts a noticably sallow dimness over your appearance, which I didn't like at all. I wanted a whiter, brighter, beautiful smile that would light up my face. Something....

*Dazzling*!

Smile, and the whole world smiles with you.

I didn't really trust non-professional procedures and clinically unproven teeth whitening home kits that can often lead to unsatisfactory results. I didn't want to wait months for results either. There were also the horror stories from friends about gum erosion

I wanted something immediate, great, yet safe.

Whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is safe and effective, as indicated by extensive research and clinical studies. In fact many dentists consider whitening the safest cosmetic dental procedure available.

I did some research online, and asked around my friends for recommendations on a good dental clinic.

Finally, after hearing many good things about them, I went to Lee and Ong ( at Fareast Shopping Centre)

DSCN1092

The clinic had a very stylish yet cozy and comfortable ambience, the crew of nurses were so friendly, plus... patients can help themselves to food, drinks, cakes... & even yummy cup noodles!

DSCN1091

I felt very at ease with the warm and well-spoken Dr. Ong, who also happens to be cute and charming to boot.

He recommended me to do the whitening treatment Zoom.

Zoom whitening will set you back $1000, but I was very convinced it was worthwhile for INSTANT, safe, and excellent results compared to the other options. The rest are such a hassle, and I certainly wouldn't want to put my teeth and gums at risk.

Furthermore, this price is still comparably cheaper to other dental clinics.

So I booked my appointment to get my whiter pearlies!

On the fateful day......

Zap zap zap! Looks like I'm in a Star Trek movie. This is fun.

There is no pain whatsover, but you would have to bear with the discomforting ache of your mouth being stretched open and keeping as still as possible.

After 4 rounds of 15 minute sessions...

Look at the incredible results!

DSCN0832A

Front 2 teeth were untouched first to show the contrast between before and after. Wow, amazing or what?

Not to worry, they didn't forget to Zoom! my two front teeth later as well.

And here is my wonderful whiter smile I've dreamed of -

Thank you!

I used to be terrified of dentists, but I feel so at home with Lee & Ong,  you can bet I will be going back there for my future dental checkups too :)

MCQ Time.

Dawn has not been blogging because she

a) turned into a koala bear
b) is eating too many Pancakes on the Rocks
c) is busy being called "goose" by random drunk strangers
d) has ran off into the sunset with her handsome new aussie surfer dude husband (who happens to be a carbon copy of Christian Bale btw) whom she got married to on a whim, at Bondi beach nonetheless.

Shaded in your answers already?

Well a) is not true, although I'm nearly as cute hehee ;)
b) is true to an extent
c) is somewhat true
d) is very very true. In my dreams.

So the more likely answer would be ... e) None of the above!  Hmm what? Did you pay your optometrist to do such a bad job?

Anway, I was on holiday in Sydney, and just got back in the morning, hence was scarce on time to post... Sorry to all of those who've been emailing asking me to hurry update!

Regarding legal matters with thou-who-shalt-be-named, I have been advised to refrain as far as possible from discussing them on my website for now. The lawyers will be handling the case :)

Some people may like slinging mud on their blogs, but I don't and never did... so onto happier things here is a photo from my holiday down under~

DSCN7978a

More to come very soon, and the World Youth Day happenings there... but I have to rush out now.....

If you haven't quite got enough to fill your yawn of a time-space equilibrium, perhaps you could try hunting down my secret blog where I've been jotting down for some time about everything under the sun as unprohibitedly as I like anonymously (no pictures!) haha and where visitors comment with no pride nor prejudice.... there I don't write about other people in case you're wondering, but more musings about life and what not, and personal things...  however it is a lost chest of golden trinkets I doubt anyone would find...  the pleasures of unadulterated privacy ;)

Blessed Friday~...*

Advertorial

Inspired by the graceful charms and glowing regal qualities of many female Korean celebrities?

Your secret may just lie in hot Korean cosmetic & skincare brand Lioele, which means “Life of elegant ease” or "elegant princess of life".

Lioele's products are even featured in SBS Korea tv serial “On Air”.

Lioele's lovely goodies are all prettily and irresistibly packaged! Only fit for a princess :)

lioele

I tried the variety of masks, cleansing oil, marbling blushers etc. and found they were all pretty good. If I had to choose, my top 2 picks they would be:

Jaiya Massage Peeling Gel

It's formulated with natural ingredients that help exfoliate your skin as you massage it off, to get rid of impurities, dirt, sebum and blackheads on your face. It has a fresh floral smell and sensation that relaxed my dull and tired skin, leaving it rejuvenated and clear!

Lioele Whitening & Wrinkle Repair BB Cream

I really liked this smooth foundation, which is an everything-you-can-think-of-in-ONE.

"BB Cream, aka Blemish Balm, is the *hottest* beauty product in Asia right now. The product was originated in Germany and used by dermatologists to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery soothe and regenerate the skin.

Soon after, Korean celebs started using this and it's wonderful effects sparked a BB cream craze from Korea to all over Asia now." - makeupforlife.net

 lioele

Lioele will be launched exclusively in John Little departmental stores (Jurong Point, Orchard & Marina Square) this coming August 2008. Meantime, you can buy them online at www.lush-group.com.  :)

Specially for all my readers: Free Cell phone Lip-gloss with $100 of purchase . Please quote <DawnYang> on comments in payment page.

: Pleasant Surprises :

I arrived at the airport 8am in the morning, huffing and puffing from my last minute packing and mad trolley rush, only to find out that my flight had been rescheduled to the next morning. Due to an industrial air strike supposedly.

-.-

BUT..... it might have been a blessing in disguise, because  for the inconvenience caused, I enjoyed a complimentary stay from the airline at Traders Hotel!!! (adjacent to Tanglin Mall, famous eatery Ah Hoi's Kitchen)

What a luxe opportunity!

*I love hotels ~  the spick&span room, lovely clean linens, heavenly bed, goosedown pillows you sink your head into, marble bath, room service, housekeeping, pool, food, spa, ammenities.... well you get the idea ;)

Took a cab to Traders, where the concierge paid for the fare.

The hotel lobby...

and my humble abode for a day......

Went down for my buffet breakfast!

A hearty start to the morning.......

Welcome to my room....

DSCN1208

Taking a break from re-organizing my luggage, see the mess on the bed? (remember I mentioned I did some last minute frantic packing... Because I had to leave pretty much right after returning from KL!)

DSCN1214

Getting a little trigga-happy....

DSCN1217

The things you do in desolation. Being all alone in the room with only the TV for company, I decided to inject some entertainment into packing by documenting my items.

So here I present my shoes....

and some of my winter gear....

DINNER TIME!

The highlight I was looking forward to. Invited godbroZ to join. Anticipating what kind of glorious spread awaited us :)

With only 15 minutes left, we just WHACKED everything in sight!

Excellent handmade noodles.... slurppp...

Butter + herbs prawns, sashimi, herbal chicken lotus soup....

*NEVER* desert your desserts....

I'm one happy girl....

DSCN1250

....and finally, being bored and bo liao + sugarhighly excited...

Now  you know which part of the globe I'm at :)  It's World Youth Day here. As part of the WYD festivities, was just at a Bondi Beach music concert with throngs of people and church groups from all over the world, and will be doing a Sydney Harbor Bridge pilgrimage walk to see Pope Benedict!

And of course, the company of my dear friends here ♥
